Pricing for translation is based on the number of words in the original document and depends on its subject area, complexity and desired delivery date. Short documents will incur a minimum fee. Editing and proofreading services are also charged by source word. Copywriting and interpreting assignments are charged by the hour.

I’m not cheap, simply because translating is not an automated task, but requires research, time and knowledge, so that I can provide you with the flawless tailored result that a tempting low-cost solution will not guarantee.

I normally translate 2,000-2,500 words per day but I’m ready to meet your delivery needs. Please bear in mind that I’m not a machine and to offer you the excellent result you expect, I need to spend time researching, building a glossary, comparing any existing document / translation and proofreading. Most days I work on more than one project at a time, so my daily workload will be split across different accounts.

I normally don’t, because I need to rest and do other things on weekends, just like anyone else. But I’m ready to accommodate your request if you need an urgent translation that requires work on weekend.

Yes, I do. Since I normally have several projects underway, I may need to work on evenings or public holidays. Please note that such requests will be subject to an extra charge.

When my quote is accepted, I may ask you to provide more details about the project (target audience, use, purpose) and any other possible reference material you may have. Then I start researching and translating, but I may come up at some time with some queries. In the meantime, I also build a glossary so that I can ensure consistency. After proofreading and an overall quality check, the text is ready for on-time delivery.

Invoices are issued at the end of the calendar month in which the service is rendered. My invoices include the price for the service, plus a 4% social security contribution, as provided by Italian regulations. I accept wire transfer as means of payment within 30 days after receiving my invoice or proforma, unless otherwise agreed.

All information, advice and documents provided will be kept strictly confidential. The name of the end client or translation project will never be directly mentioned in any material unless specifically agreed in writing. That explains why I do not show off any end client name I have translated for.
